The Sustainable Living Initiative, has also run many community projects, empowering local people and hopefully improving their standard of living.

Some of our other community projects include:

A nationwide Recycling education programme

• Computer Mission Dominica - 400 computers installed in schools and workshops on maintenance held at each school
• The Sustainable Living Education Centre Building funded by the British High Commission in Barbados

and a UNDP renewable energy programme in collaboration with The Ministry of Education and Local Government have been very keen in their support for this project .

This project is funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). This project is also a school project whereby SLIC is installing alternative energy equipment in 6 Primary Schools bordering National Parks around Dominica.
