On May 21st 2005, The sustainable living intiative held the first solar electricity workshop. It was well attended , and participants were taught all about the main components required for a home solar system. Each component was examined and explained, and participants were taught how to calculate their power needs, and how to use those figures to choose a good system to meet their requirements. Discussions were held about preventative maintenance and the need to consider consumption at all times in order to reduce the size of the system required. Pareticipants were also given details of what to buy and where to buy it. |
