S.L.I.C. has run many community projects, empowering local people and hopefully improving their standard of living.
Some of our community projects include:
A nationwide Recycling education programme
The Sustainable Living Education Centre Converted containers Building funded by the British High Commission in Barbados
UNDP funded renewable energy project installing 6 demonstration renewable energy systems in 6 schools in village surrounding the Morne Trois Pitons national park in collaboration with The Ministry of Education.
Computer Mission Dominica – Between 2006 and 2008 SLIC facilitated the delivery and installation of hundreds of computers and other IT equipment in most schools around Dominica.
